After a year of sporting achievements the time has finally arrived.
On Friday evening the winners of the 2011 Maitland Sportsperson of the Year awards will be unveiled.
The city’s night of sporting nights will announce the best individual and team performances from last year in the junior and senior sections.
But the competition will be tough, with success at local, regional, state, national and international level across almost 20 sports.
The presentation dinner will be held at Maitland City Bowls, Sports and Recreation Club with Newcastle Knights playmaker and NRL rising star Ryan Stig the guest speaker.
