Thanks council for great job

I'd like to say a big "thank you" to the Maitland City Council workers who did a wonderful job of cleaning the V-drain in the reserve between Norfolk and Luzon Streets at Ashtonfield.

For months this has been a sad eyesore to all who live in this area. The smell from the stagnant water that lay in the blocked-up drain was terrible.

The workers also cleared a lot of the dead rubbish that was in the reserve and removed a lot of the havens for the brown snakes that frequent the area.

Thanks a million, guys! Your hard work is much appreciated.
