A mixture of weather put outdoor enthusiasts to the test at the three-day Caravan, Camping, 4WD, Fish and Boat Show at Maitland Showground on the weekend.
In what was a bumper exhibition this year; Rural Scene Promotions added an extra 36 exhibitors to the already
hundreds of display.
The extensive range of exhibitors covered everything outdoors including tents, camping trailers, tyres, tool boxes, clothing, boats, motorhomes, caravans and bikes.
Rural Scene Promotions manager Loretta Payne said crowd numbers were on par with previous years, despite a cold and wet start to the show on Friday.
“We are thrilled to bits with how many people have braved the elements to come out,” she said.
“Despite the weather, it has gone remarkably well.
“[The show] draws [crowds] from a large area because we cover all bases – the camping, caravanning, boating and fishing.”
Ms Payne said people had come from as far away as Dubbo, Sydney, Tamworth and Armidale, as well as locally, to see the exhibition.
