The Hunter River Agriculture and Horticultural Association has a new web page promoting the city’s show and other show ground events thanks to the generosity and talents of Maitland businessman Paul King.

Mr King operates Infosolve in Elgin Street and designed the web page gratis with administration and functionality in mind.
The focus of the design took into account the historic roots of the association and the city’s show as it heads into the future.
The web page is an easy to navigate guide for anyone planning to visit this year’s Maitland Mercury Hunter River Super Show.
“It is about creating more than a banner on a web page for an enterprise, it has to be customised,” he said. “My brief for the (show) association was to provide a summary of information about the show ground and a detailed schedule of events.”
While Mr King is pleased with the content so far he wants to work on updating the imagery on the web page.
“Specific imagery relating to the show and show ground need to be added,” he said,
And the good news for the 2014 Maitland Mercury Hunter River Super Show is judges’ results from each event will be uploaded as they are announced.
“The information will be transferred directly to the website so anyone with an Ipad at the show ground (for example) will be able to see the results as they happen,” Mr King said.
For historic purposes, events and results will be capsulated and stored in the association’s electronic archives every year.
