Kairos Outside for Women provide support for women who have a loved one in jail.
Organiser Dorothy Hudson said this year’s theme was a masked ball after the success of 2012’s rainbow ball.
“We went with a masked ball this year and we had a great time at the town hall,” Mrs Hudson said.
“It really is a wonderful venue that everyone loves coming back to.”
The night raised $3600 which will go toward funding camps to help women feeling alone and isolated because of losing a loved one who has been imprisoned.
“A lot of women feel ostracised and that they can’t cope with losing a loved one,” Mrs Hudson said.
“They feel like they can’t speak to their friends because of the shame, so we support them and show them that they’re not isolated.”
More than 160 people attended the evening with visitors coming from as far as the Central Coast and Sydney.
