Maitland City Council has published the 2014 edition of the Maitland Heritage Trades Directory.
It provides listings of specialist services and suppliers, in sixty two categories, ranging from architectural hardware to fireplaces.
A house style guide is included in the directory and provides an introduction to key design features of period homes in Maitland from colonial to post-war styles.
‘It is important for property landowners to have practical and useful contacts when undertaking work on a heritage building,” council heritage officer Clare James said.
The guide is available at council’s High Street administration building or can be downloaded from maitland.nsw.gov.au/Heritage/suppliersdirectory.
