Reed confirmed on Twitter he would make his comeback at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernadino, California, in the first round of the 2014 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.
It will be just three months after he broke his collarbone and two other bones in his arm in a crash on the final lap of the San Diego round of the Supercross Championship.
Reed was running second on the Supercross Championships standings going into the San Diego round.
The Mercury will bring a full wrap of results on Tuesday from the Australian Karting Association National Sprint Kart Championships at Cameron Park in Newcastle over the Easter long-weekend.
