AFTER their bodies were almost broken beyond repair on Sunday, Tim Blair and Shane Taylor bounded out of bed yesterday like nothing was wrong.
The men are more than determined to complete their Bluff to Bondi challenge regardless of what happens.
They left Holbrook at 5am yesterday and put down 20 kilometres within two hours.
Mr Taylor had fought off hypothermia the night before and Mr Blair was pushing on despite a stress fracture in his left leg.
A suitable road direct to Gundagai couldn't be found so the decision was made to run down the Hume Highway, while it was quiet.
They continued on and put another 25 kilometres on the board before some nasty hills took the sting out of their tail.
By 11am they had reached a decision it was far too dangerous to be running on the Hume so it was on to Wagga Wagga.
It was clear by late afternoon Mr Blair was struggling with his leg and had to ice it every half an hour.
The pair walked and jogged until 4pm until they decided to seek treatment and ice up to push on to Yass today.
"It was cold again but after spending some time running down a dead end we went out on the Hume," Mr Blair said.
"It was good to be able to run on a good surface instead of gravel for once."
Mr Taylor said he felt a lot better than he did the previous day.
"I certainly didn't have the stomach problems I did the first day."
