The Colts entered round 13 of the Group 21 competition needing a win to further extend their advantage over third-placed Denman.
The eight-point win at Greta Central Oval sees the Colts move to 19 points, six clear of Denman.
Greta Branxton remains seven points behind runaway leaders Scone who continued their unbeaten campaign with a 64-0 drubbing of Singleton.
It wasn’t as happy a day for the Colts lower grade teams, with reserve grade losing 30-22 and under 18s going down 28-18, both to Denman.
Greta Branxton is on the road this weekend when they tackle Muswellbrook on Saturday night.
Muswellbrook won the final game of round 13, knocking off Aberdeen 30-12.
