More than 700 players competed across nine divisions with the glorious weather adding to the fun and enjoyment.
LJ’s took out the All Age A crown from Pumped while OB’s won the All Age B division.
Titans, Seaham Swifts and Persas Hydras won the three intermediate divisions while Holbert Oysters BFF’s won the under 12s competition. Candy Crushers and Crazy Comets took out the two under 11s titles, while Scone won the under 10s.
Organiser Sarah Rinkin said the day was a huge success with teams travelling from Singleton, Gloucester and Port Stephens as well as Maitland to take part.
“It was really successful, all the feedback we’ve been getting is that everyone was really happy with the day,” she said.
“We had 79 teams in total, it was a perfect day weather wise, this was only the second gala day I’ve organised but we definitely couldn’t have asked for anything more.”
Rinkin said having teams come from other areas would help improve the quality of Maitland netball.
“We had teams from Scone and Seaham and Port Stephens which was great,” she said.
“It can only be good for us for our players to play against girls from other areas.”
