Former students and staff, and anyone with a connection to the school, is invited to attend the September 4 celebration.
Earlier this year the school tracked down its oldest living former student, 107-year-old Edith McDonald, following a search in the Mercury.
Mrs McDonald, who lives in Moree, attended the school in the early 1920s when it was Maitland Girls High School.
Established in 1884, the girls school was amalgamated with Maitland Boys High School more than 100 years later, in 1987.
The school moved from its original Maitland building to its East Maitland site in 1963.
Proud old girl turned school careers advisor, Lee Osborne, has invited all former staff and students to reconnect with the school for the celebration.
“Teaching here is a privilege and I want to share that with the community,” Ms Osborne said.
“I’m conscious of working with students so they’re aware of our history and to be proud of it.”
The school’s 130th anniversary assembly and morning tea will be held on September 4 at 10am.
If you’re interested in attending please RSVP on 4934 2066.
