Ms Morris, who works at Rutherford Coles, supports various animal rescue shelters, regularly houses foreign exchange students, helps the Starlight Foundation and raises money for Ronald McDonald House.
“I try to help anybody who is struggling whether it’s with a bed, food, toiletries or animal rescue,” she said.
“You never know when you might need the favour returned.”
The Coles Community Hero receives a $1000 prize and 80 hours of paid leave to further help her charities.
Ms Morris also co-ordinates the donation of toiletry packs to men in the outback through a Salvation Army initiative and will visit Vanuatu later this year to deliver school supplies to less fortunate children.
“It doesn’t take much to give a helping hand to those who need it the most,” she said.
“If everyone gave a small amount of time it would make a huge difference.”
Coles regional manager John O’Reilly congratulated her on the award.
“Leanne’s contribution to the community has been nothing short of amazing,” he said.
“In every town and suburb across this region we know we have team members who are quietly going to great lengths to help their community by volunteering their time to their chosen community organisation."
