The Keinbah couple are the first from the Hunter and one of, if not, the first from NSW country to claim their respective trainers and drivers titles in Sydney city.
Panella also becomes the first woman to wear the crown.
The 2013-2014 season wraps up Sunday and, despite one meet remaining at Menangle on Saturday night with races named in their honour along with weekend group 1 winner Marty Monkhouser, both Tritton and Panella hold unassailable leads.
Tritton has prepared 42 winners at Menangle this season, with another 10 starters across 10 events at racing headquarters this weekend, and Belinda McCarthy (33.5) sits second.
From a total 219 metropolitan races Tritton had another 37 placings and finished with stakes of $740,565.
In the sulky Panella has steered 47 winners at Menangle this season, with six drives scheduled for Sydney on Saturday, and Luke McCarthy (25.5) sits second.
From a total of 153 metropolitan races Panella had another 38 placings and finished with stakes of $697,385.
Across the entire state for 2013-2014 both Tritton and Panella will finish runners-up in their chosen fields.
Tritton has experienced 167 victories, well behind Steve Turnbull’s current 207, after 681 races with a further 169 placings and accumulating $1,355,235 in prize money.
Panella has saluted 143 times, trailing Amanda Turnbull’s present 202, following 405 starts with another 109 placings next to her name and scoring $1,163,005 in race earnings.
Closer to home Tritton and Panella will also collect Newcastle Harness Racing Club premierships.
Tritton has guided 93 winners at Newcastle International Paceway in 2013-2014, a long way clear of Clayton Harmey (31) and with another eight chances tomorrow night.
It will be Tritton’s fifth straight title but falls short of the 95 wins he recorded last season.
Panella (59) eventually edged out Weston’s Josh Osborn (48) and with just nine races remaining at Newcastle this season, including six starts of her own, she will clinch her maiden senior crown at her adopted track.
Tritton and Panella enjoyed group 1 success with Marty Monkhouser in Victoria on Sunday following on from Mach Beauty the season before.
