Both the Pickers and Bulldogs have teams lining up in elimination semi-finals at St John Oval on Saturday.
The Pickers tackle Central Newcastle in reserves (1.30pm) while the Bulldogs have Coalfields rivals Cessnock in under 18s (10.30am).
The real NRL qualifying semi-finals scheduled for Sunday have been transferred from Townson Oval to Cessnock Sportsground.
And in other rugby league news Ron Griffiths was named joint coach of the year and Daniel Bates hooker of the year at the group 21 presentation at Muswellbrook on Wednesday ahead of the Greta Branxton Colts hosting Sunday’s grand final against Denman (3pm).
