West Maitland claimed division one titles in the under-10 and under-14 age groups as well as a third division title in the under 15s.
Cessnock and Thornton Beresfield also picked up dual championships on the weekend with the Goannas successful in under-11 division one and under-10 division two competitions while the Bears held the trophy aloft in under-15 division one and under-12 division three.
Kurri Kurri, East Maitland, Dungog and Morpeth didn’t go home empty handed from grand final weekend.
Kurri Kurri took out under-11 division two, East Maitland reigned supreme in under-12 division one, Dungog came out on top of under-13 division three and Morpeth in under-15 division two.
The Maitland and District Schoolboy Rugby League grand finals, for under 10s to under 12s, were held at Maitland Sportsground on Sunday.
The Hunter Valley Junior Rugby League grand finals, for under 13s to under 17s, were held at Maitland Sportsground, Cessnock Sportsground and Bower Oval on Saturday.
