Maitland rugby league juniors Robbie Rochow and Joel Edwards have been named as finalists for the Ken Stephen Medal awarded for NRL community work.

Rochow and Edwards were the Newcastle Knights and Canberra Raiders nominees respectively with one player from each club put forward.
The award was established in 1988 and former winners include Wayne Pearce, Paul Harragon and Nathan Hindmarsh.
Voting for this year’s award is open to the public until midnight next Wednesday (September 10) on the NRL website.
The winner will be announced on September 25 at the NRL One Community Awards in Sydney.
