This ranking sees the Hunter Valley sitting alongside Alentejo in Portugal, Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Maipo in Chile, Marlborough in New Zealand, Croatia, Napa Valley in California, Tuscany in Italy, Oregon and Virginia as the world’s best.
Hunter Valley Wine and Tourism Association general manager Gus Maher said: “The Hunter Valley has seen some wonderful accolades in recent times, and this one yet again places us highly on the world stage in terms of wine tourism.
“The United States continues to be an important sector for the Hunter Valley for both inbound tourism visitors, and also wine exports.”
The Hunter Valley is one of Australia’s most historic and revered premium wine regions, with fine food and dining abound, as well as hosting some of Australia’s most enjoyed events.
This combination ensures that the Hunter Valley provides visitors – both domestic na dinternational – an unforgettable experience time after time.
