Leave It To Jesus - the first single from Akers’ new album Naked – will be available from September 26.

The song was written and recorded in Nashville with Emmy Award winning American songwriter, and Akers’ mentor, Trey Bruce.

The new song demonstrates Akers’ ongoing growth as a songwriter and delivers a poignant message in response to the current landscape of religious and faith-based judgement sweeping the globe.

“It takes all types to make the world what it is, I find it fascinating that any one group could think their views take priority and give them the right to judge others,” Akers said.

“So I thought to myself, leave the judgement to Jesus and get on with making the most out of life, and that is where this song stemmed from.”
