The constant flow of people around the Maitland Park courts on Saturday helped finish the 2014 season on a high.
“I was absolutely thrilled with the crowds,” Fullford said.
“At every time slot and every game it was good to see so many people there to support.
“From under 10s right through to A-grade there would have been 50 or 60 people around the court and they were all there for one thing - netball.”
There were 24 grand finals played on Saturday with more than 300 players from 48 teams representing 13 different clubs.
RSL were the most successful outfit with six major premierships from their 10 appearances on Saturday.
East Maitland were next best with five from seven while West Telarah Rutherford (four), Beresfield (three) and Coalfields (two) also scored multiple titles.
Branxton, Paterson, Hills and Rugby Blacks also experienced grand final glory.
Fullford said there were a lot of quality matches played on the last day of the season with a few going down to the wire, including one-point margins in B3 and C3 grades.
“There were some great games on Saturday,” she said. “That’s what grand finals are all about, bringing out the best netball in everyone.”
Work on the association’s new clubrooms is due to begin in November and Fullford said she was hoping it would be finished by the start of the 2015 season.
“The first sod is supposed to be turned in November and I’m very hopeful that it will be ready by the time the season starts next year,” she said.
Fullford said she expected the season to once again begin in early May next year.
