The band will play five shows while in the country, stopping in Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Newcastle.
Since being saved from obscurity with the release of their 2008 documentary Anvil! The Story of Anvil, the band have enjoyed tours around the world and recently albums, 2011's Juggernaut of Justice and 2013's Hope in Hell.
The group, now led by original members vocalist Steve "Lips" Kudlow and drummer Robb Reiner, formed in Toronto in 1978 and released their debut record, Hard 'n' Heavy, in 1981.
They last visited Australia in 2010, playing on that year's Soundwave festival lineup alongside Faith No More, My Chemical Romance and Jane's Addiction.
Anvil play the Cambridge Hotel on Monday, November 10.
Show tickets, plus a meet and greet option, are available via Bigtix.
