Raymond Terrace Bowling Club member Lennon Scott has claimed the state singles title after defeating Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Aron Sherriff in Tuesday night's NSW Championships final at Ettalong.

Scott, the husband of Australian women's representative Natasha, beat Sherriff 31-23 in the decider after leading 28-11 at one stage.
In the senior singles final, also played overnight, Beresfield's Mick Beesley finished runner-up after being downed 31-28 by Warilla's Geoff McGillvray.
The fours competition, featuring Kurri Kurri, starts today.
