Mr Frogley, of Newcastle, plans to make it into The Australian Book of Records and to do this must complete a solo ride on a Honda 125cc motorbike around Highway 1, which goes around the Australian continent and connects all mainland state capitals.
He has urged the community to get behind his campaign and make a donation to The Mai-Wel Group, which provides ongoing support for his son Stephen.
“My 30-year-old son Stephen was diagnosed with autism when he was two years old,” Mr Frogley said.
“When he left school, Stephen completed a school-to-work transition program with Mai-Wel LabourForce Solutions.
“During this time, Stephen took part in work experience at PACE Setters, Mai-Wel’s timber manufacturing and light engineering business.
“He loved every second of work experience.
“He helped to make pallets, crates and worked on various other production jobs.”
Stephen was thrilled to be offered a job with PACE Setters, where he has worked for the past 10 years.
“During this time he has been provided daily with support and encouragement to enable him to build a strong work ethic and become a valued member of his community”.
Mr Frogley, a senior constable in the NSW police service, will take off on his ride in May next year.
