The year 11 students displayed maturity throughout the Roadwhyz young driver education program.
Morpeth’s Michelle Davis lost her sons on the road and her award-winning program features confronting tales from people who have had to deal with road trauma.
“This school always welcomes us,” she said.
“The sessions are always powerful and have a great impact on the students.”
Maitland Rotary organised the prizes in support of the event.
“By doing this, the club has taken the opportunity to foster Rotary ideals with these senior students,” Maitland Rotary president George Williams said.
“Maitland Rotary is pleased to continue its long-standing association with the school and support this excellent program.”
Roadwhyz is a nominee in the Australian Road Safety Awards across three categories.
Presentations take place on November 26 on the Gold Coast.
