Ms Phillips is a Small Biz Connect Advisor for the Business Centre in Newcastle but delivers numerous workshops in the Maitland area on a monthly basis.
Mr Barilaro, the new Minister for Small Business, met with Ms Phillips at NSW Parliament House this week.
“I am pleased Brooke has been acknowledged with this award, which also reflects positively on the NSW Government’s Small Biz Connect program,” Mr Barilaro said.
“This is a fantastic achievement and Brooke should be pleased with what she has achieved for small business.
“Brooke’s role plays an important part in providing business advisory services for small businesses in the Hunter.
“The Small Biz Connect program in the Hunter showcases great local talent – from sole traders and ‘mum and dad’ business owners, to businesses with several employees.
“I encourage all small business owners in NSW to contact their local Small Biz Connect Advisor for support and advice.”
The Small Biz Connect program helps accelerate small businesses to a position of economic sustainability, delivering growth and employment for NSW.
It provides an opportunity for all small business owners and operators to access affordable, professional advice.
