TAB issued the seven-year-old bay gelding fixed odds of $7.50 yesterday ahead of the November 29 event, but Suave Stuey Lombo has yet to make the final 10 runners.
The Shane Tritton-trained charge missed automatic entry after finishing fourth in the Newcastle Mile earlier this month and will now contest the $100,000 group 1 Cordina Sprint at Menangle, with progression only ensured by a victory on Saturday night.
The Cordina Sprint will be the final chance to automatically qualify for the $750,000 decider at Sydney industry headquarters with Harness racing NSW directors set to issue further invitations after the race.
Defending champion Beautide is one of five horses already in the Miracle Mile, and TAB granted the reigning Australian horse of the year fixed odds favouritism yesterday, paying $2.40 to claim the title twice in as many seasons.
Christen Me ($4.50), For A Reason ($6), Newcastle Mile winner Annonova ($9) and Terror To Love ($12) have also accepted Miracle Mile invitations.
Guarenteed ($10), which finished second in the Coca Cola Amatil Sprint behind Beautide and in front of Tritton’s Easy On The Eye on Saturday night, has yet to qualify.
Easy On The Eye will not contest the Cordina Sprint for Tritton this Saturday night, but Suave Stuey Lombo will be joined by stablemates Mark Dennis and Laterron.
Suave Stuey Lombo will start from gate eight with Lauren Panella in the gig while Mark Dennis will be steered by Blake Fitzpatrick from barrier three and Laterron controlled by David Morris on the inside of the second row.
The Cordina Sprint will jump at 8.35pm.
Closer to home Newcastle Harness Racing Club will host eight races at Newcastle International Paceway on tomorrow night starting at 6.30pm.
