Most recently a showroom for Hunter Irrigation, it and a two-storey building next door, on the corner of High Street and Ken Tubman Drive, were not included in the sale of the townhouse development, which achieved $410,000.
“We’re fielding good inquiries on both [of the remaining properties] and we’re just working through them,” Tony Cant property consultant Kurt Rothwell said.
The corner building includes accommodation upstairs and office space downstairs.
It will remain in place along with the former Advanx Roadmasters’ service station.
Both buildings were subdivided from the townhouse development in July last year and there is no council approval to demolish either of them.
However a disused tyre fitting shop at the rear of 511 High Street will make way for the townhouses.
