The group formed in the early '90s and quickly became known as one of the more soulful and socially aware groups in LA's underground hip hop scene.
The six-piece have released such rap staples as Quality Control, What’s Golden, Day at The Races and Thin Line (featuring Nelly Furtado), before they went on hiatus in 2007.
Jurassic 5 then reformed for a huge sold out tour in early 2014 before releasing new music.
They have released their first song since the reunion, The Way We Do It.
The track, produced by the late Heavy D, samples the White Stripes track My Doorbell.
The full six-member J5 tribe will perform at Newcastle Panthers on Thursday, April 26, 2015
Tickets go on sale from 10am on Monday, December 1 and are available through Moshtix.
