Tritton qualified both Suave Stuey Lombo and Easy On The Eye for the $750,000 group 1 Miracle Mile and he was looking forward to watching them go around Menangle on Saturday night.
“It’s just one of things that you dream about in harness racing,” he said.
“You want to be part of races like the Miracle Mile and Inter Dominion so to have a couple in makes it even better.”
Tritton hopes it will be a case of third time lucky this weekend after two tough previous encounters with the Miracle Mile, which is a similar story for his No.1 driver Lauren Panella.
“I had an emergency runner two years ago and Mach Beauty last year but everything went wrong,” Tritton said.
“We lost our driver and the race itself didn’t go to plan, nothing went right.
“Lauren has missed out as well because she has been suspended when she had drives in it.
“So we have had Miracle Mile on the radar for a while, so we are over the moon about this one.”
Suave Stuey Lombo qualified for the Miracle Mile with victory in the $100,000 Cordina Sprint at Menangle on Saturday night, while Easy On The Eye accepted an invitation from Harness Racing NSW over the weekend.
Suave Stuey Lombo will start from seven and Easy On The Eye one following the barrier draw on Sunday, which put defending champion and short-price favourite Beautide in three.
“I think the barrier draw has actually evened it up a bit,” Tritton said.
“Easy On The Eye has drawn well on the inside and Suave Stuey Lombo is unbeaten at Menangle from outside six.
“One would have been great for Stuey but its not the be all and end all.”
Tritton, reigning Newcastle and Metropolitan trainer’s premier, will head down to Sydney with his contingent on Thursday.
