Finlee’s proud father Jason, of Raymond Terrace, accepted his daughter’s prize at The Mutual where a $1000 savings account has been opened.
At 11 months old, Finlee is always happy, smiling and a little bit cheeky, Mr Edmonds said.
“She is a beautiful little girl and she is much loved by all of us, including her older brothers and sister.”
Mr Edmonds will save the money for his daughter’s future education.
“My wife [Jessica] took the phone call to tell us Finlee had won.
“She was ecstatic.”
Second prize went to three-month-old Emarlia Lilliss of Tarro.
She is the first baby for proud parents Sara and Terry Lilliss.
“She is such a happy baby,” Mrs Lilliss said.
“I am so happy about this. My friends have always entered their babies and I am so pleased I have a little girl to enter this year.”
Emarlia won a $500 savings account with The Mutual.
The photographer’s choice award of a family sitting with Cherie Misson Photography went to Charlotte Hardy of Clarence Town.
The voter prize of a $300 voucher at Maitland Toyworld went to Diane Outram of Kurri Kurri.
The Mutual general manager Geoffrey Seccombe is proud of the financial institution’s 20-year association and sponsorship for the Mercury’s baby competition.
“It has been a great success and families are excited to be part of it every year,” he said.
“The Mutual and this competition are all about community and celebrating families.”
