The display is made up of more than 1.5 million twinkling lights, a giant Ferris wheel and bungee rides.
Now in its eighth year, the Christmas Lights Spectacular has five new displays, including themes from Alice in Wonderland.
There is a record number of lights and Santa will visit every night until December 24.
Fireworks will welcome in the new year and Australia Day.
The Christmas Lights Spectacular is open every night until Monday, January 26 (except Christmas Day) from 6.30pm.
Entry is $25 adults; $20 children and free for children three years and under.
Family passes are $77.
The five lucky winners are: H Lindsay of Tenambit, Imogen Foot of Rutherford, Jasmine Lasky of Abermain, Glenys Swinton of Bellbird and the Haynes family of Aberglasslyn.
Tickets can be collected from the Mercury office at 5/666 High Street, Maitland, during business hours.
