Council, govt need to focus on needs of people, not developers | LETTER

The 3000 homes planned for Anambah, whether it is imposed by the state government’s compliance  requirement for the Lower Hunter Regional Strategy (according to Cr Philip Penfold’s letter to the Maitland Mercury of Friday, December 5) or the Maitland City Council rush to cover every square inch of land available with houses, does not change the fact that the existing and imminent planned infrastructure for this area is not adequate to satisfy the needs required by modern standards of ­living!
