His rescheduled Maitland show is tomorrow night at the Grand Junction Hotel.
Entry is free.
This year Smyth released his stunning second record Exits.
The folk-rock songwriter, whose broad vocals have been compared to everyone from Jeff Buckley to Tom Waits, recently thanked his fans for their outpouring of support.
“Just want to say thank you to all the very kind words and well wishes for my recovery,” Smyth says.
“I am surrounded by incredible love and a strong heart of support.
“Lifted with great spirit from a dark count of events, I’ve had nothing but care and laughter all around me.
“I’m spoilt to bits and send out all my love to the lot of yas.
“Means the world.”
Smyth has also been added to the line-up of next year's Byron Bay Bluesfest.
He performs at the Grand Junction from 8pm.
