The gifts were bought with donations from Maitland City Council and their employees.
“This annual program shows there is a desperate need for these contributions,” Cr Blackmore said.
Thanking council and Cr Blackmore, centre manager Naomi Rees said the gifts would go to 220 families throughout the Maitland local government area.
“Wherever they are needed most, these gifts will go,” Ms Rees said.
“We are fortunate in being able to deliver them too, because we meet the families who are struggling most and know their needs.
“We are always impressed by the gifts from council at this time of year.
“I see our two organisations as a team because we work so closely together on many things. “We are at our capacity now, helping people in these 220 households.”
