Maitland, East Maitland and Rutherford libraries will bring to life a number of holiday adventures.
City librarian Keryl Collard said the holiday fun program encouraged children to exercise their minds and stretch their imaginations.
“We have a range of great activities to keep kids entertained over the summer,” she said.
The Curious Legends Theatre will perform My Secret Home, inspired by Australia’s rich tapestry of multicultural stories.
Local artist Lex James will visit Rutherford Library to share stories from his book Nautical Nonsense, as well as teach children how to draw in his art workshop.
Torin King will bring viking history alive through music, song and story in two workshops.
The workshops are for children aged four to 14 years and booking and payment before the events is essential.
Bookings can be made at any Maitland City Library branch, by phoning 4933 6952 or online at maitland.nsw.gov.au/library
