Mr Baldwin has been promoted to Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Environment Greg Hunt, having served as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Industry in the Coalition’s first year in government.
“I look forward to the challenges that lay ahead as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for the Environment,” Mr Baldwin said.
“It will be an honour and a pleasure to work with a minister of the calibre of Greg Hunt.”
Among his achievements in the old role, Mr Baldwin counted anti-dumping legislation reforms, amendments to the National Construction Code, and the extension of intellectual property rights into the online world.
“I would also like to thank all stakeholders and Department of Industry staff who assisted in cutting the red tape and responding to industry concerns,” Mr Baldwin said.
“It has been an honour to serve as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Industry in the first year of the Abbott government.”
