A man has been charged after allegedly producing a firearm at several railway stations in the Newcastle Local Area Command earlier this week.

Police said a man allegedly produced a handgun while on the platform of Wickham railway station and pointed it towards passengers on the train about 5.15pm on Monday.
The man was seen to put the firearm down the front of his pants as he entered the carriage. As he left the train at Cardiff railway station he again allegedly pulled out the pistol.
Following an investigation, police arrested an 18-year-old man in Clarence Street, Glendale on Tuesday.
The man was searched and an amount of cannabis was allegedly located.
Police searched the vicinity of Main Road, Cardiff, where they located a replica pistol. The firearm was seized by police and will be forensically examined.
He was taken to Charlestown police station and charged with assault, possess prohibited weapon and possess prohibited drug. He was granted conditional bail to appear at Belmont Local Court on January 21, 2015.
