Computer Pals for Seniors Maitland prospective student Carolyn Quinn wants to learn to Skype and email to stay in touch with her children in Perth.
Learning these new skills and being taught by people her own age will make the process less daunting for her.
Registration and information days for people over 55 years of age will be held for Computer Pals for Seniors at East Maitland Bowling Club.
Computer Pals for Seniors is a not-for-profit organisation that is run by volunteers.
No prior computer skills are necessary to enrol in the course and students can learn at their own pace, tutor and president Coral Cox said.
Students are asked to bring along their iPads and Android tablets they might have been given as Christmas gifts.
Information and registration days will be held at East Maitland Bowling Club today and Friday from 9.30am until 11.30am both days.
Phone Ms Cox on 4933 1804 for more information.
