And doesn’t it show in this picture taken by her granddaughter Kate Cheetham of Aberglasslyn, who won the Mercury’s Australia Day photo competition.
Kate, Carole’s granddaughter, captured the fun image while the family was on holiday at Pindimar, Port Stephens.
“We were on the water relaxing when Nona asked if she could model a crocheted bikini designed by her granddaughter Elle,” Mrs Cheetham said.
“Nona was quick to put it on and she did her model pose, complete with the Australian flag in the background.”
Nona’s picture has already appeared on Facebook and Instagram where she shares the limelight with some of Australia’s top models also wearing the popular crocheted bikini available @driftaway__
“Nona loves life, she is beautiful to be around, everyone warms to her and she has a heart of gold,” Mrs Cheetham said.
“Her Facebook picture has attracted some funny comments and she thinks it is hilarious, she loses it laughing.”
Mrs Daley is a mother of two, grandmother of three and great-grandmother of four.
Photographer Mrs Cheetham has won a family pass to Western Plains Dubbo Zoo for her winning entry.
