Ben Petersen clocked his fastest time of the 2014-2015 Maitland Triathlon Club season in notching up race win No.1 for this summer.

The 2012-2013 senior point score winner completed the Maitland Park course in 52 minutes and 15 seconds on Sunday in a comprehensive fifth round victory.
He finished two minutes and 18 seconds ahead of his nearest rival Izaac Daly and a further 22 seconds clear of Kevin Picton.
Petersen has previously recorded two thirds and two fourths this campaign with his previous best time 52:17 last month.
Prior to that he had times of 53:46 in November, 56:54 to start the season in September and 56:33 in October’s second round.
Petersen’s split times on Sunday were six minutes and 23 seconds for the 450-metre swim, 30 minutes and three seconds for the 18-kilometre ride and 15 minutes and 49 seconds for the 4km run.
Nicky Weston, Sarah Gardner and Chloe Hartnett were the best female finishers in first, second and third respectively.
In the intermediate section Chloe Hollingsworth was the top performer, Nathan Murdoch was the pick of the bunch in juniors and Rory Hodgson was ahead in the sub juniors.
