The children’s movie Rio 2 will be screened on a giant screen in Maitland Park on Friday, February 6.
Entry is free.
Pre-movie entertainment will start at 5.30pm with Northern NSW Football and Hunter Valley Football hosting a giant inflatable soccer pitch.
There will also be Zumba demonstrations and performances from local musicians before the movie screens at sunset.
The following night at Turner Park, Cessnock, will be a free outdoor screening of the children’s film The Lego Movie.
About 3000 people are expected at the Maitland screening with about 1800 likely to attend the Cessnock movie.
