Fireworks Factory senior pyrotechnician Chris Solomou always ramps up the fireworks spectacular for his home crowd and this Saturday night there will be a special Solomou family member in the audience.
Chris’ mother Patricia, a mum of six, will be there to watch her son’s skills with all things explosive.
“I love to put on a great show for the Maitland crowd and also for my mum,” Mr Solomou said.
“She will be watching from the grandstand. Mum loves the fireworks and always tells me how lovely it was.”
Mr Solomou is the oldest child in the family and is thrilled to show off what he loves to do.
The fireworks spectacular is the highlight of the Maitland Mercury Hunter River Super Show Saturday night program.
It has been moved to 9.30pm this Saturday to allow show goers to enjoy all main arena events before going home with a bang when the show closes for the night.
“This year’s special effects include the purple crossette, purple strobe and two crowd favourites – electric cherry and titanium willow.
“The fireworks display is all about content and it will wow the audience.”
