I’d like to know why the railway was closed before the Wickham terminus and the light rail were ready to be commissioned.
This defies logic.
People will have to endure the mess at Hamilton for two to four years.
However, I’d really like to know why the decision to close the railway was made at all if there were no plans for high rise developments.
I’d also like to know why calls for level crossings were ignored. Who did the planning and modelling that said the new arrangements would make traffic flow more smoothly after the Railway Street level crossing was closed and what proof was there that the change over at Hamilton would be seamless?
There are more questions than answers and nobody in power thought of any of them.
