The Jack Bercini Cup has been split between the two Hunter River District Golf Association clubs in alternate years since 2011.
Paterson are the reigning champions after previously claiming glory in 2012 while Maitland have most recently been successful in 2011 and 2013.
In the top-grade decider minor premiers The Vintage will attempt to defend their A-grade title when they host Muswellbrook on Sunday.
