Playing to about 90 fans in the venue's dining room, the mesmerising musician delivered tracks off his breakthrough record Silence/Win in anthemic fashion.
Churchill's "one-man band" style is as moving as it is logistically impressive, with the songwriter often playing guitar, stompbox and harmonica all at once before casually running his elbow across a set of chimes to atmospheric effect.
Particularly stunning was his haunting take on the Red Hot Chili Peppers' tune Parallel Universe.
And though there were many sing-along moments to his radio hits Single Spark and Window to the Sky, the highlights of the 90-minute set were the furious jams and jaw-dropping guitar work.
Churchill performs again at the venue tonight from 8.30pm.
