After travelling the country and world with their music, the four teenagers are about to share the limelight with Alastair Fraser and Natalie Haas – known as Scotland’s finest fiddle duo – during a one-night-only performance at Woodville Community Hall.
Pumpkin Juice is made up of East Maitland sisters Gabi and Olivia Blissett, Woodville siblings Margot and Julius Roberts and their parents Jenny and Ray on Irish drums and guitar.
“Fraser and Haas currently live in the USA and are on an international tour, which has included many of the folk festivals around Australia, and they were persuaded to put on a special concert in the Hunter Valley,” Jennifer Blissett said.
“And the Woodville community has been a long-time supporter of live Celtic and folk music, so Woodville was chosen as the venue.
“Pumpkin Juice has never met Alastair and Natalie so are absolutely thrilled to be meeting musicians that have been an inspiration for their music for many years.”
The young award-winning fiddlers have won many awards and performed at Celtic festivals around the world, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
In 2014, the band won the Best New Talent prize at the 2014 Australian Celtic Music Awards ceremony.
Pumpkin Juice will perform at the Woodville Community Hall on Sunday at 6.30pm. For tickets phone 0410 177 807.
