AN ALBURY man has died in hospital after he was severely injured while inflating a truck tyre.

The man aged in his 40s was working as tyre fitter at Tyrepower in Lavington.
He had been pumping up a tractor tyre on Monday, March 30 when the rim failed and struck him in the face.
Paramedics was called to the scene at 11.40am and Ambulance NSW has confirmed they found the man in a serious condition.
In a statement, WorkCover said a notice had been issued to the business and its investigation was ongoing.
“The worker suffered facial injuries in the incident and was transferred to Melbourne Hospital for treatment but later died,” the statement said.
The incident has been referred to the coroner.
