The Jets, who finished a traumatic season with the wooden spoon following a 2-1 loss to the Brisbane Roar away on Friday night, gathered at Hunter Stadium to mark the achievements of individuals in 2014-2015.
Thornton junior Kennedy and midfielder Ben Kantarovski were the two players who reached the ton for Newcastle this season.
The Jets major honour, player of the year, went to Australian youth international and Broadmeadow Magic product Andrew Hoole along with the Ray Baartz Medal from the Men of Football’s Newcastle chapter.
In other Jets awards, Nick Cowburn was named the youth player of the year and Emily van Egmond the W-League player of the year.
Rhali Dobson and Tara Andrews were the top scorers for the Jets in W-League with Edson Montano ahead in the A-League count.
Jets financial controller Nicola Brown received club person of the year.
In other football news, Newcastle Herald reporter named Kennedy and Maitland Magpies star signing Matt Thompson in his Jets team of the decade along with the likes of Paul Okon.
