Cessnock City Council secured Mr Auld for the first instalment in its new Business Leadership Workshop Series which is designed to help time-poor business leaders.
“With so many workshops, seminars and conferences on offer it makes it difficult to decide
which one to go to,” the council’s economic development manager Jane Holdsworth said.
“Many also tell you what you need to do, but not ‘how to do it’, unless there is further cost.”
Mr Auld’s workshop will take businesses back to basics in marketing.
He has helped executives in 21 countries and changed the fortunes of multinational marketing agencies (direct and digital marketing).
The Business Leadership Workshops have been designed to give expert advice and practical tips that can be implemented straight away.
These tips or tools are designed to create more customers, give businesses a competitive advantage and ultimately boost the bottom line.
The series also include workshops on customer service and sales.
Ms Holdsworth said the workshops were designed with convenience in mind.
“We understand people are so busy in their businesses especially smaller businesses who have to juggle the many different hats they have to wear to run their business.”
Malcolm Auld’s session on marketing (back to basics for success) will take place at Cessnock Supporters Club on May 8 from 8.45am until 12.30pm and costs $69.
Jane Holdsworth will lead a session on excellence in customer service at the same venue on May 28 again from 8.45am until 12.30pm which costs $35.
Vanessa Van Wyk will discuss mastering sales for guaranteed business growth on June 16, at the same time and place for $69.
People can attend all three for $155.70.
All workshops are tax deductible for business.
