Federal will run in the rescheduled Hawkesbury Guineas at Rosehill on Saturday, as John O'Shea looks to reprogram his Godolphin team. The wash-out has cost Malice a chance at the Doomben Cup with the easier option of the Lord Mayor's Cup in Sydney to be taken. "It has been a very frustrating last month because of the weather and it has made it very hard," O'Shea said. "Federal was going to paddock win, lose or draw after Saturday, so we will keep him going for another week. Malice could have gone to Brisbane with that run under his belt but it is easier to stay at home. All our [Hawkesbury] Cup horses will run at Rosehill on Saturday and the couple in the Darley Crown [Transfers and Copy] will be in that race and maybe a couple of others." Godolphin will have Knoydart in the BTC Cup and two-year-old Sampeah in the Champagne Stakes in Brisbane.
