They have also joined the line-up of the annual Pigsty in July festival on Saturday, July 4.
The band is touring in support of new double A-side single Smoke Bombs and Mac & Laura.
This will mark the first new music from the Newcastle natives since their acclaimed 2013 sophomore album Post Code.
The songs will be available as a digital download and on 7" vinyl as part of a very limited pre-order only pressing.
Members include Michael Ferfoglia on guitar and vocals, Mat Taylor on drums and vocals, Ryan Wilson on bass and Ben Leece on guitar and vocals.
They first came together to start writing in 2010 and in early 2012 released their debut album Magnetic South.
The group has been compared to Drive By Truckers, Old 97s and Social Distortion.The Delta Lions play the Grand Junction Hotel on June 5, The Stag and Hunter on June 27 and Pigsty in July at Belford on July 4.
